Ivar Mendez is a sculptor, photographer and professor in the Departments of Surgery and Anatomy and Neurobiology at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is also the chair of the Brain Repair Centre at Dalhousie University, director of the Halifax Neural Transplantation Program, and staff neurosurgeon at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
